Novak Lock & Security in Ohio

Novak Lock & Security has handled locks, keys, and access systems across Ohio since 2002, and our Novak Lock Security specialists bring that same expertise to every job. Every job, whether it’s a single deadbolt replacement or a full rekey after you close on a house, starts with a written price and ends with a documented photo record of the work. That’s not a courtesy we extend on good days. It’s the operating rule the company was built around, and it’s the same standard applied to every visit, everywhere in Ohio. We’re part of the Haven family of home service companies, which means the price you’re quoted is the price you pay. No exceptions, no doorstep revisions, no “I found something while I was in there.” Ohio homeowners deserve to know the number before the van pulls up, and we’ve run the business that way for more than two decades.

Why Ohio Homeowners Choose Novak Lock & Security

When someone in Ohio calls us about a lock, they usually have one of three situations: they just bought a house and don’t know who else has keys, they’re locked out and standing in a driveway, or they want better hardware than what the builder installed. All three start the same way. You call, a live person answers, and you get a firm price on the phone. The technician who arrives is background-checked and in uniform, and they are not permitted to change that price at the door. This rule has been in place since the day the company opened in 2002, and it’s the reason we can say something most locksmiths won’t: the number you hear is the number on the invoice.

We work on the full range of hardware Ohio homes actually use – Schlage and Baldwin on the entry-grade side, Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, and Abloy for high-security cylinders and restricted keyways. We’re factory-authorized on those premium lines, which matters when you want a key that can’t be duplicated at a hardware store kiosk. Since 2002, we’ve installed or serviced more than 60,000 locks, keys, and systems, and every single one carries the same documentation: a written price before we start, a photo record of what we found and what we did when we finish. If you’ve got a written estimate from another Ohio locksmith, bring it to us. We’ll review it at no charge and tell you honestly whether you’re getting a fair deal or getting taken.

The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every lock installation, rekey, and emergency call. If the work isn’t done right, we make it right. That’s not a marketing line; it’s the warranty we stand behind, in writing, on every job.

Backed by the Haven Family

Haven was formed in 1998 with a simple observation: good local service companies get bought, gutted, and ruined by people who care more about the margin than the work. Haven took the opposite approach. The local brand stays, the crews stay, the name stays. What Haven adds is The Haven Standard, five published clauses that govern every job: a written price before work starts, a real arrival window with a named technician, verified and background-checked crews, photographic evidence on every visit, and no upsell at the door. Novak Lock & Security is independently owned and operated, with Novak Lock & Security in Oklahoma - Locksmith and other locations following the same model, and every technician works to that standard on every call in Ohio. The documentation system, the pricing discipline, and the buying power come from Haven. The license, the trucks, and the neighbors are ours.
