The Haven Standard - Terms

The Haven Standard is our family guarantee, and it applies to every job done by every Haven company for 365 days from the date of service. Five clauses, published in full, and none of them negotiable for any business carrying the Haven name. The window runs a full year, which gives you four seasons to test the work: a furnace through winter, a roof through spring rain, a garage door through the first freeze. If something fails that we touched, we make it right. No proration, no depreciation schedule, no argument about whether it was “really our fault.” If we did the work and it didn’t hold, we fix it.

What’s Covered

The Haven Standard covers four commitments, each tied to the five published clauses:

  • Workmanship. The repair or installation holds up under normal use for the full 365-day window. If a joint fails, a part we installed gives out, or a fix comes loose, we return and redo it. Clause 5 is the governing language here: no upsell at the door means the work quoted is the work done, and the work done is the work that must hold.
  • Honest pricing. Clause 1 requires the price in writing before any work starts. The number on that sheet is the number you pay. If the scope changes for a reason we couldn’t see at the quote, the new price is written down and agreed to before a tool comes off the truck. The Haven Standard backs that: a job priced honestly is a job we stand behind for 365 days.
  • On-time service. Clause 2 is a real arrival window with a named technician. Not “sometime between 8 and 5.” A window, a name, and a text when they’re on the way. If we miss the window without a call, the Haven Standard treats that as a service failure, not a scheduling footnote. The 365-day coverage includes the quality of the visit itself.
  • Make-it-right resolution. Clause 4 says every visit comes with photographic evidence of what was found. That means if something we touched fails within the year, we both have the same documentation. You know what we saw. We know what we did. The resolution starts from shared facts, not from a story we tell you after the fact. We return, we assess against that record, and we fix it.

How to Make a Claim

How to Make a Claim

The process is designed to get from “something’s wrong” to “someone’s on the way” in the shortest number of steps. First, contact the Haven brand that did the work. Call or text the number on your invoice. Every Haven company is independently owned and operated, which means the person who picks up is the same local business that sent the technician. Describe the issue and reference your original service date and any invoice number. If you’re within the 365-day window and the issue is with work we performed, the brand starts the resolution on that call.

Second, describe the issue within the window. The Haven Standard covers 365 days from date of service, not from date of discovery. If you’re at day 340 and you notice a problem, that counts. Don’t wait to gather evidence or second-guess yourself. Call at the first sign something failed. Third, the Haven family coordinates the resolution. Because the brand you hired is the one that did the work, they handle the fix. The Haven organization provides the documentation system and the standard they’re bound to, but the truck that returns to your house is the same local company you chose. That’s intentional. You hired them. They fix it.

Conditions

The Haven Standard is a good-faith guarantee, and good faith runs both ways. We ask for three reasonable things. Proof of service: keep the invoice or the email confirmation, or we can pull the service record on our end. Reasonable access: to make a repair, our technician needs to reach the work. If you’ve moved, sold the house, or blocked access to the equipment, the guarantee can’t operate. Normal use: the 365-day window covers work that failed under ordinary conditions. If a door was hit by a car, a pipe was frozen because the heat was off, or a technician’s repair was altered by another contractor, that’s outside the Haven Standard. None of these are fine print games. They’re the same conditions you’d apply if the situation were reversed. We did the work. We want it to hold. We’ll stand behind it for a year when it’s given a fair chance to.

Terms may vary slightly by brand and local regulations.
